The Melbourne Storm threatened to score a century of points in their 100th National Rugby League match last night at Colonial Stadium, before settling for a record-breaking 64-0 thrashing of Wests Tigers.
Fullback Matt Geyer put on plenty of the party tricks, including a spectacular first-half 98m try after he fieldeda misplaced grubber kick from Tigers skipper John Simon.
Geyer finished with a hat-trick of tries, becoming the first Storm player to score tries in six successive games.
Eight players crossed the tryline for Melbourne, including hooker Richard Swain, who is the only man to have played in all 100 of the Storm's NRL games.
The winning margin was the biggest in the NRL this year, beating Parramatta's 66-12 thumping of Wests back in round 11, and also the biggest in the Storm's history.
Halfback Matt Orford's 10 goals bettered Geyer's club record by one.
