Rugby League: Sideline brawl costly for Warriors

The Auckland Warriors and the North Queensland Cowboys were each fined $A25,000 ($30,230) early today arising from a brawl during their NRL match in Townsville on Saturday.

Warriors centre David Myles was suspended for three matches, Cowboys hooker Brett Boyd for five and team-mate Damian Smith for four for "detrimental conduct."

Warrior Tony Tuimavave was found not guilty of the same charge.

Lawyers for the punished players immediately called for an adjournment of the judicial hearing as they decided whether to appeal against the grading of the detrimental conduct charge.
