Rugby: Encore for Sonny Bill at Toulon

Sonny Bill Williams has agreed to extend his stay in France.

However, the former Kiwis international has signed only a one year contract extension with French rugby side Toulon.

Toulon had been hoping to keep Williams for another two years.

After an injury-plagued start to his French career, Williams has impressed of late, with two tries in 11 appearances.

The 23-year-old centre sparked a media storm when he left Australia mid-season last year to switch from rugby league to rugby union, despite being only one year into a five-year contract with the NRL's Bulldogs.
