Evergreen looked set to complete a hat-trick of wins at Tauranga on Saturday when leading her high-class stablemate Hero in a gallop at Cambridge yesterday.
On a soft No 2 grass, 6m out, Evergreen sped 600m, edging ahead of Hero, in 35.9 - clearly the quickest of the session.
Simple Twist, who begins a fresh campaign at Tauranga, worked encouragingly over 800m with stablemate Bittersweet in 50.4.
Winsome did a solid 1200 in 1:18.8, the 600 in 38.4.
Hurricane Strike and Simply The Best ended 1000m on terms in 1:5.1, the 600 in 38.4. Song And Prance and Melinda ran 1000 comfortably in 1:9.4, the 600 in 42. No Fibs ended his work with 800 in 52.4.
Adonis completed his semi-final trial for Tauranga with his customary dash 1m out on a heavy No 2 grass at Takanini, taking 1:7.1 for 1000m, the 600 in a smart 37.6.
Bank Note shaded Cheetie, now in the McKee stable, after 1000m in 1:6.2, the 600 in 41.3. Both will race on Saturday at Wanganui, Bank Note in the Guineas and Cheetie in a 1200m for 3-year-old fillies.

Swilcan Burn showed his readiness for a return to racing at Tauranga with an impressive 1000m on a good sand at Matamata, giving Follow Me a start of several lengths and finishing alongside in 1:2.8, the 600 in 38.
On a softish course proper, 20m out, Surprise Package and Mehrak did well to run 1000m in 1:11.2, the 600 in 38.2. Country Class and Maythehorsebefast covered the same distance in 1:10.2, the 600 in 39.5.
Blue Rapture and South Of Dixie ran a solid 1000m on the all-weather track in 1:2.6, the 600 in 37.4. Repete and Super Drive had pace on throughout 1200 in 1:16.2, the 600 in 37.8.
Khairiya took 1:8.4 for 1000, the 600 in 39.
On the sand, Roaring Jake ran a slick 1200m in 1:15.8, the 600 in 37.5. Blue Hope and Follow On also did well to cover 1000 in 1:3, the 600 in 39.4. Bin Benut ran 1000 in 1:5.4, the 600 in 40.2.
At Pukekohe, King Of The Realm excelled on a soft No 1 grass in preparation for Tauranga, sprinting 1000m in 1:4, the 600 in 38.2.
Ego Fast, who begins another campaign on Saturday, strode 1000m in 1:6, the 600 in 39.3. Last Laugh covered the same ground in 1:7 and 40.2.
Love The Blues and Street Legal matched strides over 1000m in 1:5, the 600 in 41. Yen To Sing and Elrita also covered 1000 on terms in 1:5, the 600 in 40.8.
Lady Dehere and Hvar galloped best 20m out on an easy No 1 grass at Te Awamutu, running 1000m evenly in 1:5.2, the 600 in 39.1.
Over the same distance The Immortal One and Party Princess took 1:5.9 (39.5) and Percussion and Rainbow Lad, 1:7 (41.4). Judette went fast early over 1200, the last 1000 in 1:8.8 and 600 in 43.1.
Two-year-olds Romardale and Dancing Dane showed promise over 800m in 51.1, the 600 in 38.2.
Stablemates Not Sure and Shacaine impressed on a soft No 2 grass at Te Aroha in their semi-final trial for Tauranga. They strode 1200m in 1:16.8, the 600 in 39.
Normandale and Nanset cut out 1000m in 1:4.8, the 600 in 38.2. Irish Edition and Narkissos dashed 800 in 50.5, the 600 in 36.7.
Country Fair again galloped stylishly at Te Rapa, recording 1:34.7 for 1400m on a soft No 3 grass, the final 600 full of running in 39.1.
The Alaskan hit out well, too, over 1000m in 1:6.5, the 600 in 39.8. The Pagan was not after time over 1200 in 1:28.1, the 600 in 41.7.
Ask The Dancer went 800m on the sand in 54.4, the 600 in 40.9.
Lady Tess showed at Avondale that she was nearing a return to racing when galloping 800m on a soft sand in 54, the 600 under a hold in 40.6.
