Former Takanini jockey Matthew Williamson has yet to make the decision of whether to return to New Zealand.
Williamson has ridden 17 winners in the two months he has been riding for leading Gold Coast trainer Gerald Ryan, which he says is enjoyable and financially rewarding.
"It's also easier on my weight,"he said at Eagle Farm on Saturday. "I rode 48.5kg today, which I haven't done in seven or eight years at home."
Williamson rides at 48.5kg again in today's A$500,000 when he takes the mount on the Gary Stewart-trained Feed The Meter, which he rates a good upset chance at long odds.
