Christchurch police last night recaptured two more of the group of four prisoners who escaped from a prison van earlier in the day.
The escape occurred just before noon, virtually under the nose of the Minister of Corrections Matt Robson, with the van heading from the central city to Christchurch Prison where the minister was officially opening new buildings.
Police last night swooped on a city address to pick up Luke John Sparks, aged 19, and Heath Wade, 19.
Another of the escapers was caught soon after the incident.
Senior Sergeant Ian Freeman of the Southern Communication Centre said police were last night still seeking Neil Christopher Rolton, 26.
Rolton is 1.81 cm tall, of medium build, with blond hair and hazel eyes. He was wearing black track pants and a black hooded fleece top.
