He may be fast on the court but British tennis star Andy Murray 's quick reflexes couldn't save him from this embarrassing moment.
Ahead of his return at the Shenzhen Open, the 31-year-old was gifted a commemorative plate during a special presentation to mark his contribution to tennis in China.
But while posing for a photo with the precious gift, the plate slipped out of the box and smashed on the pavement.
Trying to hold back a giggle, the former world No. 1 smiled sheepishly while officials fumbled to pick up pieces of the broken gift.
Taking to Instagram to share the humiliating moment, Murray captioned the video 'woops!' with the footage gathering thousands of views on Twitter.
Even Murray's mother, Judy, re-posted the video on Twitter with the caption of an eye-rolling emoji.
Ironically, it isn't the first time that Murray has been caught with butter fingers while holding a piece of tennis silverware.
After winning Wimbledon in 2013, the tennis star sat down with the prestigious trophy before dropping its lid and scrambling to put it back together.
Murray is set to face Zhizhen Zhang of China on Tuesday in his first match of the Shenzhen Open.
