Lucas Glover's wife has been ordered to stay away from him and his mother after she allegedly attacked them during an explosive altercation on Saturday night - as a dramatic 911 call revealed how the golfer told cops the two women were 'out of their heads.'

The audio tape of the call obtained by reveals Krista Glover claimed she was being attacked by her mother-in-law, Hershey Glover, 62, while the athlete told them it was his wife who was the aggressor.

A frantic Krista was first to call 911, saying: "I've been attacked by my mother-in law.' She's locked herself into a room and attacked us."

The golfer then takes over the phone call and identifies himself as the 'sane one' and calmly tells the dispatcher that his wife is lying.

"My wife has called you...and now she's trying to blame it on my mother - which is not the case at all," Glover says, while adding that his wife "has gone crazy."

Glover then tries to prevent the female dispatcher from sending an officer to the scene saying: "No, I don't think anyone needs to come out here, thank you though."

The dispatcher then asks to speak to Krista but the athlete refuses.

"She is in the house with my daughter. And when the deputies get here, they need to talk to the male, that will be me, because these other two are out of their heads at the moment."

"She's gonna lie to you, that's what I'm telling you. That's why I answered her phone, she's telling lies and none of it's true," he says.

New court records obtained by reveal Krista was issued a no-contact order barring her from having any physical and oral contact with the golfer and Hershey Glover, 62 - and must stay 500ft away from the couple's home.

The 36-year-old mother of two was arrested by St Johns County Sheriff's deputies in a house they had rented for the PGA tournament at Sawgrass TPC in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida.

She was charged with one count of domestic battery and one count of resisting an officer without violence. She was released on Sunday on a $2,500 bond.

As part of the court order, she is only allowed to return to their 4,300 square foot home in Jupiter, Florida, once, while accompanied by a police officer to retrieve her personal belongings.

It is unclear where she is currently staying.

On Tuesday, broke the news of the altercation after obtaining the 11-page police report.

According to documents, an officer responded to the disturbance around 8.30pm and found the couple arguing on the porch.

The officer noted there were fresh lacerations to Lucas's right arm and 'multiple lacerations' to both of his mother's arms as well as blood on her clothes. Neither asked to receive medical treatment, and Krista had no visible injuries.

The 38-year-old athlete, who had played at the PGA Players Champion earlier that day, told authorities that his wife had been drinking all day and claimed that she regularly yells at him whenever he plays poorly.

Glover had played alongside Tiger Woods, Dustin Johnson, and Justin Rose at the tournament and started off well on Thursday, finishing just two strokes behind the leaders.

However, he started losing ground Friday and Saturday and did not play on Sunday. He was listed on the final leaderboard as 'MDF,' meaning he made the cuts but didn't finish.

His poor performance prompted Krista to shower him with insults, calling him a 'p***y' and a 'loser' before she resorted to physical violence, the incident report states.

She also told him "he needs to fire everyone, and how he'd better win or [she] and the kids would leave him and he would never see the kids again," the report reads.

When Hershey Glover was interviewed, she told deputies she tried to stop a loud argument between husband and wife over the golfer's performance, but Krista turned against her and hit her repeatedly.

The former US Open champ allegedly suffered an arm injury when he stepped between his wife and his mother.

Despite his statement, the golfer reportedly tried to dissuade deputies from arresting Krista and later claimed there was no physical altercation.

The drama, however, did not stop once Krista was handcuffed.

The deputies wrote in their report that she resisted them and refused to get into the back seat of a squad car by trying "to tense her body and blocking herself from sitting down in the car."

She allegedly tried to wrap her legs and feet around the frame of the open car door, but several deputies pulled and pushed until she got in.

Once inside, Krista allegedly damaged the car by kicking the door.

At one point during the transport to jail, two deputies tried to loosen her handcuffs and she tried to get away. It took both officers to re-handcuff her.

"Wait till the tour (PGA) hears about this," she yelled, according to the report. "You will lose your job. This is why cops get shot in the face. Wait till I talk with the judge, you will be f***ng fired over this."

When reached on her cellphone on Tuesday afternoon, Krista hung up abruptly when asked for comment. Lucas didn't return a call for comment left on his cellphone.

The golf star took to Twitter on Tuesday afternoon to address the incident saying: 'On May 12, my wife and mother were involved in an argument to which the police were called. Everyone is fine.

"Regrettably, although Krista was charged, we are comfortable that the judicial system is able to address what actually happened and Krista will be cleared in this private matter. We thank you for respecting our privacy as we work through this unfortunate situation."

A former Clemson University golf star, Lucas Glover has been on the tour since 2001. Since then, he has made $20.1 million in prize money.

He and Krista live in Jupiter, Fla., and were married in 2012. They have a six-year-old girl and a three-year-old boy. He was previously married to high-school sweetheart Jennifer Smith.
