UFC: Ronda Rousey talks body image, being a role model and perfectionism in new Reebok ad

She's one of the top UFC fighters in the world but Ronda Rousey admits she is "fine with not being perfect".

Starring in a new Reebok campaign titled "Perfect Never", Rousey, 29, is shown looking glamorous at a photo shoot, wearing a low-cut gown, heavy make-up and hair extensions.

As she steps off the set, she dramatically pulls out her fake hair, rips off her false eyelashes, wiping off her lipstick.

"Here's the thing about being perfect. Perfect never gets truly tested," Rousey says in the ad.

"Perfect never gets to silence its critics. Perfect never gets a shot at redemption," Rousey adds.

"So yeah, I'm fine with not being perfect."

Rousey's statement about perfectionism comes as she has yet to return to the UFC Octagon since her shock loss to Holly Holm in Melbourne in November.

"There are a lot of unrealistic standards being put on everyone," Rousey said in a statement about the Reebok campaign, according to the Daily Mail.

"I think it's good to have examples out there who say, 'You know what, not everyone is always going to like you, but life will go on, you'll be OK and you can still love yourself.'

"The acceptance of criticism is part of who I am," Rousey said, according to the Daily Mail.

"People either hate my guts or really, really, like me. And I'm OK with that."
