Motorsport: Bayliss extends lead

Defending world champion Troy Bayliss beat Colin Edwards in carbon-copy races of yesterday's San Marino Grand Prix in Misano to stretch his commanding lead in the world superbike championship.

Australian Bayliss outpaced the American by 2.9s in the first race and by 3.3s in race two. Bayliss has 360 championship points, Edwards has 311 and Britain's Neil Hodgson is third on 194.
