The 105th New Zealand Open presented by Millbrook Resort has officially confirmed that a $2 million total prize purse will be on offer when the world‑class golf championship tees off near Queenstown on February 26.
As one of Asia-Pacific’s premier golf events, the New Zealand Open continues to attract topinternational and local talent. The substantial purse underscores the tournament’s stature on the PGA Tour of Australasia, Asian Tour and Japan Golf Tour, and reinforces its commitment to elevating elite competition in the Southern Hemisphere.
“We are delighted to be able to maintain the $2 million prize purse despite the current difficult economic climate. This reflects the strong support of our sponsors and partners, and it allows us to continue delivering a world-class experience for players and fans alike,” New Zealand Open chairman John Hart said.
The New Zealand Open will also continue its professional player support programme by ensuring that every professional golfer who enters the field will receive a minimum payout – even if they do not make the 36‑hole cut. This initiative supports players in managing travel and participation costs, particularly for those journeying from overseas.
“Supporting the professional players is central to our tournament,” tournament director Michael Glading said. “We are proud to offer them not only world‑class golf against the stunning backdrop of Queenstown but some additional financial support as they ply their trade.”

The 105th New Zealand Open presented by Millbrook Resort will be held between February 26 to March 1, 2026.
