New Zealand have been implicated in yet another match-fixing wrangle, this one involving a drawn test in India last year.
Investigators in India's CBI inquiry into match-fixing are reportedly nearing the truth behind allegations of corruption in the third test between New Zealand and the hosts at Ahmedabad.
The match is bestremembered for Indian captain Sachin Tendulkar's bizarre decision against enforcing the follow-on, despite his side gaining a 275-run first innings lead on the fourth day.
At the time, former Indian allrounder Ravi Shastri described it as a "diabolical" call.
New Zealand were left only 103 overs to save the test, and scrambled to safety after good batting from Matt Horne, Gary Stead, Craig Spearman and Stephen Fleming.
