Former Australian women's cricket coach Steve Jenkin has been appointed coach of the New Zealand White Ferns. Until July, Jenkin was based at Cricket Australia's centre of excellence, where he coached the Australian women's team to World Cup victory in April this year.
He was also a senior coach within the men's programme. Jenkin has been appointed on a part-time 18-month contract until March 31, 2007.
