New Zealand Cricket today confirmed changes to the structure of the organisation and relocation of the support services to Auckland following approval from the board.
On May 11, NZC chief executive David White presented a proposal to staff that included the restructure of the business and a proposal to relocateits support services (including commercial and marketing) to Auckland.
After a period of consultation with staff, the NZC board received a recommendation and has agreed to implement the changes, with the new structure due to be in place as from September 3.
"NZC's on-field cricket functions will remain at the High Performance Centre in Lincoln while the support services, including the commercial and marketing departments, will be moved to Auckland," White said.
"New Zealand Cricket's goal is to have more people playing cricket and more people watching cricket, while continuing to grow its revenue base
"A vital part of the strategy is to ensure that we have the right structures in place, across every aspect of New Zealand Cricket's business, to deliver on these key priorities.
"This has been a difficult time for staff of NZC and NZC thanks all staff for their professionalism throughout this process."
