South Africa recalled batsman Daryll Cullinan to the side yesterday as the selectors made sweeping changes for the second cricket test against Australia in Cape Town this week.
Unorthodox left-arm spinner Paul Adams is also recalled and fast bowler Dewald Pretorius has been handed a first test cap. Shaun Pollock returnsto captain the side after missing the first test with a side strain.
Cullinan, who turned 35 on Monday, was widely believed to have played his last test against the West Indies in Jamaica last year. He has played 70 tests, scoring 4554 runs at 44.21.
The players dropped from the first test in Johannesburg are fast bowler Andre Nel, all-rounder Nicky Boje and batsman Boeta Dippenaar, while Allan Donald has since retired from test cricket.
