Second-seeded New Zealanders Li Chunli and younger sister Karen Li went down 3-11, 7-11, 12-10, 4-11 to top-seeds Li Jia Wei and Jun Hong Jing, of Singapore, in the final of the women's table tennis doubles.
The consolation was that it was New Zealand's first table tennis silver medal.
