A fighter and a boxing matchmaker were indicted on charges that they fixed an undercard bout before the Evander Holyfield-John Ruiz contest a year ago.
Robert Mitchell, an associate of promoter Don King Productions, and boxer Thomas Williams face sports bribery and conspiracy charges, prosecutors in Las Vegas said.
The FBI beganinvestigating after New York boxer Richie Melito knocked out Williams after 2m 37s of the first round a year ago in Las Vegas, on the undercard of a Holyfield-Ruiz fight.
Mitchell and Williams each face a maximum sentence of 10 years in prison and a $US500,000 ($1,134,015) fine if convicted. Neither Melito nor King was charged.
