Boxing: Tua team angry

A frustrated David Tua camp is arguing that heavyweight champion Roy Jones jun should be stripped of his World Boxing Association crown if Tua cannot get to fight him.

But manager Kevin Barry is not holding out hope of a speedy resolution to put Tua's title hopes back on track.

The Auckland fighter, whose record is 42 wins, three losses and a draw, has found himself in limbo since his tied bout with Hasim Rahman in an International Boxing Federation eliminator in March.

That same month, Jones became the first former middleweight in more than a century to win a heavyweight title when he beat John Ruiz.
