Reconnecting you to the world isn’t just about hearing aids.
At Triton Hearing Tauranga, reconnecting you to the world around you isn’t just about hearing aids – it’s about restoring the everyday moments that bring joy. From laughter with loved ones to birdsong in the garden, the team is passionate about helping you hear what truly matters.
Located at 155 Fraser St, Tauranga South – just near the Fraser Cove Shopping Complex – the clinic is easy to find with plenty of free onsite parking.
Inside, you’ll meet Client Care Specialists Julie Dellaway-Smith and Losa Taufa, known for their warmth, empathy, and ability to make every visitor feel at home.
“It’s like hearing in technicolour,” says Julie. “When someone suddenly hears how loud we’ve all been talking after a fitting – it’s magic. Their world comes alive.”
The audiology team is made up of passionate experts dedicated to making better hearing simple, pressure-free, and accessible.
Karthika Harish, MNZAS Audiologist, has been part of Triton for three years. Originally from southern India, Karthika completed her Master’s in Audiology at the University of Canterbury.
“I always knew I’d follow in my mum’s footsteps - she’s an audiologist too. The smiles we see when someone hears well again make every day feel special.”
Also part of the team are twin sisters Cinderelle (Cindy) Liao and Princess Liao. Both are audiologists who’ve supported hundreds of locals on their hearing journeys.
“If you think you’re seeing double in clinic, you probably are,” laughs Cindy. “Just check the name badge!”
Cindy has six years of experience and loves helping clients rediscover sounds they thought they’d lost. “Birds, TV, conversation – it’s often the little things that bring the biggest joy.”
Sarah Folkerts, with five years’ experience, is known for her personalised care plans and technical problem-solving.
“Audiology blends people, counselling, and technology. Every day is different – and always rewarding.”
Whether you’re tech-savvy, budget-conscious, or just curious, the Tauranga team will guide you through your options with honesty and care. They offer free hearing checks, 10-day hearing aid trials, and support with tinnitus, ACC, and government-funded hearing aids.
With Lifetime Free Care, every client also receives free in-clinic support for the life of their devices.
The team supports communities across Merivale, Gate Pa, Pyes Pa, Welcome Bay, Mount Maunganui and beyond. They also work closely with local retirement villages and regularly attend the Senior Lifestyle and Travel Expo, deepening their local roots.
“Some of the most emotional moments we see are when people hear birds or even their car indicators for the first time in years,” says Julie. “It never gets old.”
If you or someone you love is missing out on life’s sounds, let the friendly Tauranga team help you reconnect.
