Aerial spraying against the painted apple moth in west Auckland has been postponed for the third day because of bad weather.
The second phase of the aerial spraying was due to have started at first light today but the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry said there was too much wind which would have taken the spray outside the target zone.
Rain prevented the spraying on Tuesday and yesterday.
MAF spokeswoman Mary-Ann Crawford said they would try again tomorrow and the forecast was promising.
