Wai Coll side stay unbeaten

Wairarapa College are unbeaten after two matches in the Wellington premier secondary schoolgirls hockey competition. Coached by Lance Hare and Phil Hall and managed by Julie Booth they kicked off their 2007 campaign with a win over St Matthews Collegiate and then last Friday night beat Paraparaumu 4-0. That was a pleasing victory as they were without two of their key players and the game was played in wet, slippery conditions which made constructive attacking play difficult. Wairarapa College are the defending champions in the Wellington competition and are intent on not only that winning the title again this season but also on maintaining their ranking as one of the top six secondary school sides in the country.
