Two people are due to appear in the Hamilton District Court today following a methamphetamine lab raid in Ngaruawahia yesterday.
Police searching the home found a loaded pistol and an alleged meth laboratory.
They arrested a 26-year-old man and a 23-year-old woman, both of whom have been charged with various offences relating to the manufacture of methamphetamine.
The raid follows an extensive drug operation in the Waikato this month, which resulted in 175 arrests, the discovery of 17,000 cannabis plants, two major meth labs and the recovery of $26,000 worth of stolen property.
