A $10 million-plus United States television project has started filming around Auckland and there are hopes it will spawn a series of Xena-like proportions.
Pilot movie Riverworld, based on award-winning novels by Philip Jose Farmer, is being made for the Sci Fi Channel, with New Zealand's Tasman Films as a co-producer.
