A Hamilton family of seven were grieving yesterday after their 4-year-old daughter drowned at Lake Arapuni in South Waikato, minutes before they were all to go swimming.
She was Ngahuia Gabrielle Harris-Wright.
Two other people who died in Waitangi Day water tragedies have not yet been publicly named. A 37-year-oldwaterskier died after she crashed into a bank of the Waikato River at Puni, 5km southwest of Pukekohe, and a 35-year-old man drowned at Bethells Beach when he apparently tried to save his 7-year-old daughter.
A Wellington man missing off Wairarapa is John England, in his late 50s, of Island Bay.
