Street brawl in South Auckland

A brawl involving 20 people erupted on a Wiri street last night after a woman drove a car into her brother during a domestic dispute.

The woman, who police said had been drinking, got behind the wheel of the car on Laurelia St and nudged her brother.

He was uninjured but onlookers pulled the woman from the car and gave her a beating, police said.

A brawl ensued, with 20 people reportedly fighting at 7.15pm.
