Athenberry Holdings Limited is located in Athenree/Waihi beach -
Bay of Plenty region and is a substantial orchard operation of 50 hectares
producing Gold, Green and Hayward kiwifruit and Avocado.
This key role reporting to the Directors will be responsible for all orchard
production activities across the operation and be able to build strong
relationships with both internal and external stakeholders. You will need
to achieve results together with best industry practices and ensure a
well-co-ordinated and managed harvest program.
This permanent role will commence in November/December 2017 (neg) and
expressions of interest and applications will close on the 31st August 2017.
To be successful in this role you will have:
• Proven extensive practical experience within the horticulture industry -
Kiwifruit and Avocado preferred
• Strong management experience and financial understanding (budgeting
and costing of all orchard activities)
• Excellent planning, decision making and organisational skills
• Sound communication skills both verbal and written
• A professional manner at all times
• Experience with people management, development and training
• Microsoft Office - Intermediate level
• Solid understanding of health, safety and wellbeing in the workplace
• Tertiary Horticulture qualification an advantage
