School chairman charged with indecent assault

The chairman of a college board has appeared in court charged with indecent assault.

Charles Stephen Teddy, 40, tutor, pleaded not guilty in Rotorua District Court to indecently assaulting a woman on October 27 last year.

Teddy is chairman of Rangitahi College's board of trustees in Murupara, 65km southeast of Rotorua.

Judge Phillip Cooper remanded Teddy on bail for a defended hearing on June 24.
