A car's early morning plough through a wooden fence and subsequent crash into a Hamilton home had a resident thinking "something must have blown over" outside.
Parents David Casey, 34, and Connie Bryers, 39, were shocked to find a car had smashed into the garage of their Radiata St home
in Fairview Downs about 8.30 yesterday morning.
At the time, Ms Bryers was home alone and in the shower.
"She heard a large bang," Mr Casey said. "She didn't think much of it - she thought something must have blown over outside and carried on showering."
By the time she had finished, emergency service staff were on her front lawn.
