A rescue helicopter was called to a rugby ground at Collingwood in the South Island's Tasman District this afternoon, where three men were injured during a match.
A 22-year-old has ankle injuries, a 29-year-old has hand injuries, and an 18-year-old has neck injuries.
All were flown to Nelson Hospital.
Theinjuries are described as moderate, and were sustained as a result of vigorous play.
