Sixty-four players have been named for the 2007 Hansells' Wairarapa-Bush Heartland rugby team trial match to be held next Sunday.
As expected the chief contributors to the two trial sides, labelled teams X and Y, are Gladstone, Eketahuna and Carterton with a combined 35 players in the mix.
While the two sides
predominantly feature the usual suspects, there are also a few newbies in the mix including East Coast halfback Zeb Aporo and Gladstone winger Baden Stevenson.
The trial match should see everyone given a run to push their claims for a representative jersey.
Both sides have their first and only training this Sunday at 11am, with Team X hitting the Marist club grounds and Team Y the Masterton Red Star turf.
The trial game is to be played at Memorial Park on Sunday May 13 at 1pm.
