At least 15 cars drove around a box on Abbots Way in Remuera at the corner of Koraha St going towards St Johns. No one had the decency to actually stop their vehicle and pick up the box. I was behind a car turning right into Koraha St. As I put my hazard lights on and was about to get out of the car to pick that box up, the driver in front of me carefully pushed it with her car then took it out of the way. Thank you for being a great citizen but shame on all those drivers who drove around the box.

A big thank you to the good people who travel on the trains in Auckland, as one of them found my daughter's iPhone which had her Hop card as well as her bank card in the back of its cover.
It was handed into lost property at Auckland Transport and we now have it back. A big thank you also to Auckland Transport.

TV sports commentators give us a typical statement, "That's the best goal ever, without doubt". Wait a minute. I think there is some doubt. What about X and Y and Z? They scored far better goals. Maybe "without doubt" should be replaced with "in my opinion". I can accept that everyone has the right to an opinion - however wrong it may be.

I just want to pass on a big thank you to the person from Auckland Transport (identity unknown) who found my passport in Victoria St on Sunday, May 17, and handed it in to the Auckland Central Police Station, so that it could be returned to me. I very much appreciate the time, effort and trouble that person went to.

Being woken up at 5am by the incessant droning of the Auckland Council road sweeper in a quiet suburban area is not on. They were doing something in the area for over 40 minutes. Who controls the schedule, and how can we make sure they get the same 'delightful start' to the morning that I got today?

How refreshing to see the five young adults outside Downtown Auckland this morning. Each one wore a "Love NZ" shirt and carried a sign saying "free hugs". You brought a smile to so many faces and brightened my day.
