Why is it that people who select a grocery item at a supermarket believe it is acceptable to put the item back after deciding they don't need it, on a shelf that is non-related. At some point it must be correctly placed. If you don't want it, don't pick it or have the courtesy of returning it where you found it. Non-perishable items can at least be reused but for those that are perishable it is assumed for health reasons they can't. In these cases that is no better than theft and no doubt is a cost that all shoppers face through the purchase price.

While driving down Te Irirangi Drive in Botany recently, I noticed how wonderful the palm trees look now they are all trimmed. Well done whoever did them. I wish all owners would trim theirs.

Why is it that banks can deduct the debits immediately from your account but credits, transfers and deposits made over a weekend don't show until Monday or Tuesday! Who's keeping the money and earning the interest ... not me.

To the staff at Countdown Lynfield, thank you! A new checkout was opened for a mother with a crying baby so she didn't have to wait in line. They then put her groceries on the counter for her, and back in the trolley, wheeled it to her car and unloaded it while she looked after her baby. You guys are amazing!
