Investigators are still piecing together the movements of a woman who was found dead in the middle of a highway.
The body of Sarah Bromley, 37, was found on State Highway 1 near a petrol station at Mercer, south of Auckland, about 2.30am on Anzac Day.
Police said more thanone vehicle appeared to have struck her.
The Counties Manukau police serious crash unit was investigating.
"We would like to speak to anyone who may have seen a person walking along State Highway 1 or who may have given a lift to anyone," said Detective Sergeant Sam Rice.
"We are in the process of piecing together Ms Bromley's movements leading up to her death and any information we can gain from the public will assist the investigation."
Police were especially keen to speak to the driver of a white vehicle that dropped a person off near Podges Place pub in Mercer about 2am.
Police said anyone with information could call Mr Rice on 09 213 9159 or 021 191 0551. People could also give information anonymously to the Crimestoppers organisation by calling 0800 555 111.
Ms Bromley was one of six people killed on the roads over the Anzac Day long weekend.
