Police are satisfied they know the story behind the death of an Auckland man whose body was found in the boot of his sports car during the weekend.
A man was due to appear in North Shore District Court today charged with murdering Nicholas Odysseus Devliotis, 32, from Takapuna.
Mr Devliotis is
thought to have died in a dispute over his black MR2 sports car which has undergone several changes of ownership recently.
A 23-year-old Orewa man was expected to be remanded until later this week to join two others, a 24-year-old Orewa woman and a 14-year-old Auckland girl, jointly charged on Saturday with Mr Devliotis' murder.
Mr Devliotis' body was found in the back of his car in the Lynfield shopping centre carpark, in south-central Auckland.
Police discovered the body after being tipped off.
The dead man may have been involved in incidents at Orewa Beach, 40km north of Auckland, and part of a reserve leading down to the beach was cordoned off.
The girl and the woman both had name suppression and were expected to appear in the youth court on Wednesday with the third person charged.
Their names were suppressed but because one of the three charged was under 17 and all three were charged jointly, they were all expected to be covered by the provisions of the youth court which means their names cannot be published, even if they have appeared in the district court.
Detective Sergeant Scott Beard, from Orewa police, said they were not looking for anyone else and knew how the dead man had died.
"We have completed our scene examination in Orewa. We have finished our area inquiries."
Mr Beard said the post mortem had been completed but police would not reveal the cause of death.
"We are now doing background into the events leading up to the homicide."
Police said they were still seeking information about suspicious activities near the Kinloch Reserve in Orewa.
