Auckland police have made arrests and reunited a woman with her puppy which was allegedly snatched from her arms on Monday.
North Shore woman Grace Read was begging for the safe return of her 10-week-old rottweiler Rosko who was allegedly snatched by two people who came on to her driveway.
She had only had the 10-week old puppy for just over a week when he was taken.
In a Facebook post on Friday evening Waitemata police said they had retrieved the puppy safe and well.
Three people have been arrested in relation to the incident including a 26-year-old man who was charged with aggravated robbery and will appear in North Shore District Court on Saturday.
A 19-year-old woman has been summonsed to court for making a false statement, and a 20-year-old woman has also been summonsed for attempting to procure the commission of an offence and offering to supply cannabis.
They will appear in court at a later date.
Police were still seeking two more people and were continuing to make inquiries.
Describing the "woofing good news" police said Read was "overjoyed".
The investigation was led by the North Shore Crime Investigation Branch whose inquiries alongside the Rodney CIB and Public Safety Team lead them to a Stanmore Bay home where the puppy was located.
