Person dies in hospital following serious crash in Awapuni, Gisborne

A person who was taken to hospital in a critical condition following a crash on Awapuni Rd, Gisborne on Friday has died, police say.
"They were initially transported to hospital in a critical condition but have sadly passed away from their injuries," police said.
Police were called to the crash,
which involved three vehicles and a pedestrian about 10am on Friday.
An investigation into the crash remains ongoing.
