One dead in Ōtāhuhu workplace accident

A person has died in a workplace accident in Ōtāhuhu.

Police were notified of the incident at 1.37pm.

The worker died at the scene at freight business Coda in Savill Drive.

An eyewitness said the entrance way was closed off. Two police cars arrived just before 2pm.

"A handful of workers came to the end of the driveway and turned away vehicles," the eyewitness said.

WorkSafe had been notified of the incident, police said.
