A 43-year-old man has died after a water-related incident in Tāhunanui Beach, Nelson yesterday evening.
A police spokesperson said emergency services responded to a report of a person unresponsive in the water, shortly before 8pm.
Attempts were made to resuscitate the man, but unfortunately, they were unsuccessful.
Police are making inquiries on behalf of the Coroner, the spokesperson said.
