A 92-year-old woman and a police constable are to receive awards from the Wellington Police District Commander today.
Deans Goldstone, of Upper Hutt, will receive a certificate of appreciation after she called 111 and offered to help an officer being attacked outside her front door. Constable Nick Brown, was off duty on March 10 last year when he interrupted a burglar escaping from a house.
