Pedestrian killed in late night crash in Tokomaru Bay, East Coast

A pedestrian has been killed in a crash in Tokomaru Bay last night.

A pedestrian has been killed in a late night crash just north of Gisborne.

Emergency services were called to Waimā Rd, in Tokomaru Bay, just before 11pm yesterday after reports of a crash involving a car.

The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

"An investigation into the circumstances of the incident is ongoing."
