The ablaze car on Auckland's Northern Motorway has been put out.

Emergency services have now finished with this car fire and all three lanes north are fully open again," NZTA said.

It earlier reported that two lanes northbound were blocked as emergency services attended to the fire.

There are also delays in the Waterview Tunnel heading to the city due to either a breakdown or minor crash.

Elsewhere, firefighters are battling a scrub fire on George Bolt Memorial Drive, SH20.

A recent NZTA update said the fire is now mostly extinguished and SH20A remains open.

Fire and Emergency New Zealand shift manager Carren Larking said it is a small scrub fire and one firetruck is at the scene.
