Christchurch Police have launched a homicide investigation after a man was admitted to hospital and died of his injuries late last night.
Detective Senior Sergeant Sarah Illingworth said this afternoon police would continue to make inquiries to the death of the 25-year-old.
"A homicide investigation was launched after the 25-year-old man, who was admitted to Christchurch Hospital about 11pm, died of his injuries," she said.
"The man was dropped at the hospital in a vehicle. Police are today searching a number of addresses in relation to the incident."
Illingworth has asked the for anyone with information about the death to come forward and help police with their investigation.
