A man's car has been stolen after he was allegedly threatened with a hammer at a Hamilton petrol station.
Senior Sergeant Simon Cherry said police received a report that a car had been stolen from the petrol station on Norton Rd at about 6pm.
"It was reported to police that
a man approached the victim, threatened him with a hammer and proceeded to steal the victim's car," said Cherry.
Cherry said the man was shaken but uninjured.
The man was helping police with their investigation.
