An overdue tourist has been found safe in the Arthur's Pass National Park, police say.
Sergeant Phil Simmonds said a search and rescue helicopter found the Swiss man near Mt White.
The 24-year-old was overdue on a trip to Poulter River, near Arthur's Pass, in the central South Island.
"Police
have spoken to him and confirmed he is safe and well. He has been left to continue on his fishing trip."
The man had also been given advice about notifying someone of his plans, and any changes to those plans.
