The family and friends of Maninder Singh have visited the site to pay tribute to a "cheeky fulla" who was well-loved.
Family spokesperson Hemi Tipene, a friend and neighbour of the family, said in a statement that this morning, Maninder's wife, family and friends visited the site to pay tribute to their loved one.
"It was such a beautiful time and showed how well loved Mani was as a personal treasure in our family and among his friends," he said.
"We have lost a husband, brother, son and friend."
Mr Tipene said Maninder, known as Mani, left behind his beautiful wife of six years, Jessica (Jessie), who has been left in tears but remembers the wonderful times they both shared and will cherish that forever.
Jessie said: "I love him, miss him and can't believe God has taken my soulmate away. Love you always, Jessie."
Maninder's niece Sierra Jane said: "I love you chacha".
"Mani is described as a caring, charismatic and kind person who has such a fabulous sense of humour. He was such a cheeky fulla, and he will be dearly missed by me, my wife and children," Mr Tipene said.
Mr Tipene said Mani will travel with his friend Gary back to his homeland to their final resting place in India, accompanied by Jessica.
