He also told a neighbour about the break-in. The neighbour followed the intruders from the man's house to another Napier address and then told police of their location. Police recovered a number of electronic items that had been taken during the break-in, and arrested two men and charged them with burglary.Senior Sergeant Mike Stevenson said this was a good example of the community being eyes and ears for the police.AdvertisementAdvertise with NZME.AdvertisementAdvertise with NZME."Thanks to the quick-thinking of both the victim and his neighbour, Police were able to quickly identify those responsible and recover the stolen property," he said.
