Competition leaders Martinborough made no race of their Wairarapa regional one tennis match with defending champions Masterton on Saturday, winning 8-1.
Martinborough dropped just the one singles and won all three doubles in a thoroughly convincing performance.
Marco De Groot, Andy Darling and Dan Nicholson only lost 12 games in total while
winning their men's singles in straight sets and the only Masterton win there came from Geoff McKay at the top of the order, He too won easily in straight sets,
Martinborough duo Jan Lankow and Carla Didsbury were both kept honest in the first sets of their singles but won their second sets without dropping a game.
In the doubles McKay and George Tatham gave De Groot and Chapman a scare by taking the first set 6-4 but the latter hit back strongly to win the next two and the match 6-2, 6-0.

Men's singles: S.Chapman lost to G.McKay 0-6, 3-6; M.De Groot beat G.Tatham 6-0, 6-2; A.Darling beat K.Collins 6-2, 6-2; D.Nicholson beat N.Tomlin 6-0., 7-6.
Women's singles: J.Lankow beat A.Gane 6-3, 6-0; C.Didsbury beat K.Wilton 7-5, 6-0.
Men's doubles: De Groot and Chapman beat McKay and Tatham 4-6, 6-3, 6-0; Darling and Nicholson beat Collins and Tatham 6-4, 6-4.
Women's doubles: Lankow and Didsbury beat Gane and Wilton 6-3, 6-4.
Pirinoa continued their unbeaten record when they edged out Opaki 5-4 at Pirinoa.
The singles were shared 3-3 with Luke Atkinson, Geoff Janse and Michael Jackson winning for Pirinoa and Russell Broughton, Katie Wyeth and Jan Wyeth likewise for Opaki.
Janse and Pickering and Atkinson and Jackson made a clean sweep of the men's doubles of Pirinoa and the Wyeths combined to take out the women's douybles for Opaki.
As it happened the outcome of the game depended on the last doubles match between Janse and Pickering and Broughton and Brett Dymond and in an enthralling contest the former won on a tiebreaker.
