Mandy Smith coy on wedding

Mandy Smith is keeping her wedding date close to her heart.

Hockey's former golden girl, who is engaged to America's Cup skipper Dean Barker, says they will tie the knot next year, "but we want to keep it quite quiet and private".

The nuptials will not take place in Auckland, where she lives, but will be in New Zealand.

Dunedin-born and bred Smith, 31, is doing postgraduate university studies in marketing and wants to start her own business.
