Man stabbed in liver stable after operation

A man who was stabbed at a house in Auckland yesterday was today in a stable condition after surgery on a liver wound.

The incident in suburban Ponsonby early yesterday was reported to police by ambulance staff.

Police inquiries were continuing today and no arrests had been made.
