A man was stabbed to death at an Auckland boarding house last night and police are hoping a witness to the attack could lead them to the killer.
The man, whose age and name have not yet been released, died at the scene of the incident at the boarding house in
Brandon St, Glen Eden, Waitakere police said in a statement.
The man had been living in a caravan parked at the back of the property.
Police have been speaking today to a person who apparently witnessed the incident, but the witness was extremely shaken.
They were also still hunting for a weapon, "possibly a knife" and any clothing taken from the scene and thrown away.
Police appealed to anyone else who was in the Brandon St area between 7pm and 8pm last night to come forward.
